We spend a lot of time working, and we want to make the most of our time. A comfortable, ergonomic workspace can help us achieve our goals, and also keep us healthy and comfortable.
Ergonomics is the science of designing the workplace to fit the needs of the people using it. It's about finding the right balance between productivity and comfort, so that we can work well and feel our best.
No matter how well an organisation designs the workplace, it is the responsibility of each employee to make sure that they are using good ergonomics at their own workstation.

This not only helps employees maintain a comfortable sitting position but also encourages the correct curvature of the spine and the neutral body position.
This encourages good posture and a healthy spine, which in turn helps to reduce the risk of back pain and other posture-related disorders.

3) Environmental setting

The working environment is just as important as the design of the chair and Desk when it comes to ensuring an ergonomic office (ergonomics in the workplace).
Poor lighting can cause fatigue and stress, and should be avoided whenever possible. Temperature should be comfortable without being too warm or too cold. Moisture should be maintained at the right level; too little and people are uncomfortable, too much and they are stressed.

Looking at a computer display all day long can cause noticeable eye fatigue. To reduce the stress on the eyes, workers should systematically look away from the monitor every 10 to 20 minutes or so to focus on something more than 20 feet away.
